Our impact

At the Ravenwood, we do our best to make eco conscious, ethical and sustainable choices in every aspect of our business. We are always a work in progress, but are determined that our business will be as ethical as possible, have a look at our current impact and our goals for the future.

How we source our

Natural Materials

A lot of our products are from the natural world, and we ensure they're harvested ethically. For example, our runic pendants are made from windfallen branches that had fllen on pathways or roads, and were set to be destroyed. Our dried flowers (where possible) are grown or gathered locally by us, and our wood is purchased from local businesses from sustainable growth pine forests.

Choosing The Best alternative

Choosing ingredients

Where there are multiple ways we can make a product (for example, candles) we use soy wax, it's completely sustainable, much better for the environment, is healthier to burn and lasts much longer. It's making all the little changes that adds up to a huge impact.

Working with other businesses

Our packaging

In 2025 we will be switching our packaging to a fully carbon neutral company, and getting rid of the last of our plastic packaging (our bubble packaging for glass products) and replacing it with paper bubble wrap - here's to the future!

Growing our own

A butterfly garden

We are still buying some natural supplies from a wholesaler, and we'd llike to stop. In 2025 we will be extending our own personal flower and herb garden, and growing our own ingredients. This will allow for harvesting as we go, meaning that there will be an active seasonal garden dedicated to butterflies, bees, birds and wildlife providing for our shop!
