Who we are
Meet Sary and David, inhabitants of the Ravenwood! We had a vision - what if we could make a place where magic and wonder (and a little bit of spooky) replaced the mundane. What if the Ravenwood could be real shops? So, we pooled our skills and created or small family business in the wilderness of the North of the UK. Our love for pagan tradition, folklore, nature, history, magic, mystery and our beautiful planet drives everything we make, every decision we take and keeps us creating. We're humbled you're here.
The artist, historian, herbalist and pagan priest
Sary
We wear many hats in the Ravenwood, and one of Sary's is our artist in residence, all of the artwork here, including the artwork on the site is made solely by her. She's also a student of ancient history, mythology and the natural world which is what drives all of her work.
A self identified tree hugger, animal lover and protector, Sary's deeply held spiritual and moral beliefs are her north star.
Sary is also an ordained Pagan Priest, and creates all of the spiritual items in our shop with genuine love and knowledge.
The carpenter, geologist and environmentalist
David
David is the Ravenwood's carpenter, and all of our wooden products are completely hand crafted by him. He is also a geologist and environmental scientist. (I did say we're busy in the Ravenwood).
His love for the natural world drives our sustainability efforts, and his knowledge in geology, palaeontology and our earth's past drives our moral compass and ensures we're always doing what we can to put nature at the forefront of everything we champion.
